Soroti Catholic Diocese Integrated Development Organisation (SOCADIDO)

SOCADIDO is a development arm of Soroti Catholic Diocese, a body affiliate to CARITAS-Uganda of the Uganda Episcopal Conference and its legal holder is the Bishop of Soroti Catholic Diocese. It operates in the districts of Soroti, Kumi, Katakwi, Kaberamaido, Amuria, Bukedea, and now Serere, Ngora where it seeks to ensure the availability of and access to social and economic services by the communities in the Teso region, Eastern Uganda. SOCADIDO is built on the values of Christ centred stewardship; Preferential option for the vulnerable; Unity in Diversity; Holistic approach to development; Equity and gender equality; Enabling people to participate in their own development – principle of subsidiarity; Transparency; Partnership; and Professionalism.
