Supporting Provision of Quality Education
Our Education programs are supported through the Community Based Education Intervention. This participatory approach aims at improving the quality of education and learning environment of vulnerable children, adolescent girls at risk; particularly from very poor rural communities. Formal education interventions supported include:
EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM
Alternative Learning Programs
These programs provide vulnerable children and youth with access to education through exploring different informal learning initiatives. Majority of these initiatives are tailor made for the South Sudan context where war and insurgence had halted many young people’s dream of education.
THE ACCELERATED LEARNING PROGRAM (ALP)
THE COMMUNITY GIRLS EDUCATION
FUNCTIONAL ADULT LITERACY PROGRAM
BONGA ADOLESCENT EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
VOCATIONAL SKILLS PROGRAM
CULTURE FOR LIFE SKILLS, LEADERSHIP AND VALUE FORMATION
This is another key intervention area coordinated under Programs. It comprised Community Managed Microfinance and Food security programs. These are the programmes:
Learning Through Exchange Programs
Stromme partners with FK Norway to implement youth and professional exchanges. The aim is to give young people from Norway and developing countries in the South an opportunity to experience each other’s reality. Stromme is convinced that the world becomes a little more just when people get to know each other better and create values together.
